Best European-Inspired Wedding Venues in Oklahoma at Any Budget

Lin & Mike photographed the day of their wedding in the grotto at The Franklin Castle, in Tahlequah.

If you always dreamed of getting married at a castle or having the most whimsical, fairy-tale wedding in Europe but have to do it here in Oklahoma, this post is for you!

Spoiler alert: you don’t need a luxury budget for any of these beautiful venues.

Let’s get into it!

Dresser Mansion - Tulsa, OK

Aubrey & Jeremiah photographed at the mansion’s main entrance during sunset, giving off that romantic, old world vibe.

I’m starting off with the venue that requires the bigger investment in this list but it’s still a steal in compare to other similar venues in Oklahoma that are priced much higher.

Investement: Moderate, ranging from 4-5 k for weekend rentals depending on which month you want.

Why I would recommend: This historical home is just a dream for photographers and (lets be real) brides. It offers so many great spaces for photos, you seriously cant use them all in one day. The owners take really good care of the property too: no funny smells, its very clean and, all the antiques are maintained properly, nothing’s falling apart. The landscape is pristine too, so scenic. Just overall 10/10. Best value for your money.

Plus, because of it’s layout you get a lot of privacy for the more intimate parts of your day such as first looks, vows, etc. This is something that is seriously lacking in most modern wedding venues whose layouts are just a big open space.

I recently came across this insane venue because one of my OKC wedding clients wanted to shoot their engagement session here. It end up not working out due to it having their Christmas decorations up for the holidays and my clients not wanting their session to look Christmas-cey but the genie was out of the bottle for me. Im making it my business to raise awareness about this gorgeous state (because of my own selfish reasons: I would LOVE to shoot a wedding here, historical homes are my favorite, thats not a secret), plus they do host weddings, they just don’t advertise (crazy right?)

Investment: $250 p/h (carriage house and lawn) weddings inside the mansion have to be 20 people or less.

The Franklin Castle- Tahlequah, OK

couple kissing wedding day

A romantic snippet from Lin & Mike’s wedding day

This wedding venue was such a nice surprise. W/o a huge online presence it was hard for me to know for sure what i was walking into the day of Lin and Mike’s wedding. Outside, I knew it was STUNNING but in the inside I just didn’t know. Well now I know! ITS BEAUTIFUL, clean and very well taken care of.

Investment: $3,500- $4,300 depending on the day.

Why I would recommend it: The architectural features are intact and the home is very well taken care of, its comfortable and the grotto/back side of the venue looks like an actual castle (the rest of the house is gorgeous too) Shooting your couple here will make for show-stopping photos though.

Pro tip: the lighting in the back of the venue (the best part) is quite blue throughout the day, waiting for sunset is totally worth it, the skin tones will thank you!

The Ever-Moore Estate- St Pauls Valley, OK

Another underrated gem in Oklahoma! if you are a lover of historical homes and architecture and you are planning a smaller wedding or elopement, you are gonna love this option. This venue has preserved all of its original architectural features, the big windows, velvet drapes and spiral staircase make really great photo ops!

Plus the fees include officiant, music for ceremony and reception, set-up and clean-up, etc. Great value for your money.

Ps: the staff is very accommodating and helpful.

Investment: $2k-$3600 inside seating: 50 ppl- 75 outdoor seating.
