Aubrey looking like a Renaissance painting

When Jeremiah and Aubrey first reached out about their wedding at the Dresser Mansion, I was hooked immediately. There’s something about that venue’s old-world grandeur that just fits my style so well, but it was really their specific vision that got me excited.
Meeting them in person only confirmed it—they are such a beautiful, stylish couple, and their energy is completely effortless. It didn’t feel like we were checking boxes for a wedding day; it felt like we were capturing a mood. From the fashion-forward details to the quiet, sweet moments Aubrey shared with her mom and siblings while getting ready, the whole day was a vibe. I’m so stoked to finally share a look at this whimsical, high-drama day in Midtown.

The Morning Ritual

An unscripted, candid moment of a bride getting ready in the Dresser Mansion, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Nostalgic, timeless feel.

Aubrey spent her morning in this colorful, sun-drenched space that felt miles away from the wedding day rush. It was her, her mom, her siblings, and her closest friends—drinking champagne, sharing stories, and just being. It felt like the perfect girl time. That effortless energy is exactly why I love what I do—capturing those warm moments that technically are an everyday thing but really are the pillars of friendship and connection with our loved ones, the hangs we remember years down the line.

There’s a different kind of energy when the guys get together—it’s playful, it’s loud, and at a place like the Dresser Mansion, it feels incredibly cinematic. Jeremiah and his crew were a total blast. We spent the morning exploring the textures of the mansion—using those deep wood tones and dramatic hallways to capture the guys. It was effortless, stylish, and exactly the kind of guy time you want on a wedding day.

First Touch & Vows

Aubrey & Jeremiah read their vows at the mansion’s study

In the heart of the mansion's basement, tucked away in a study lined with old books and deep shadows, Jeremiah and Aubrey found their own private world. There’s something so grounded about a room like that—it’s quiet, it’s filled with art, and it felt like a sanctuary for them to finally connect.
They chose this moody, 'cocoon' of a space to share their vows. It was a beautiful, heavy moment; Aubrey, honoring her Native American heritage, and both of them leaning into the stillness of the room. No distractions, no one walking in—just a soulful exchange of promises in the dark. This is the kind of relaxed luxury I live for: the luxury of time and privacy to say what matters most.

High Noon, Higher Emotions: A Courtyard Ceremony

The sun was high, carving out those deep, bold shadows across the courtyard that made every moment feel joyous. But as soon as the music started, the light became secondary to the air in the room—it was heavy with a kind of support you can’t manufacture.

Watching the bride come down the aisle with her brother was one of those moments that makes you hold your breath. You could see the slight flutter of nerves on her face, but it was wrapped in such a deep, visible happiness. At the end of the aisle, Jeremiah just looked ready. There was no hesitation—just a man waiting for his person.
The ceremony itself was quick, but it lacked nothing.
I’ve been behind the lens for a lot of vows, but this one hit differently. You could feel the collective exhale of everyone there. It wasn’t just a wedding; it was a homecoming. Looking around, everyone had a smile in their face, including my own.
It was soulful. It was loud with laughter and quiet with reverence all at once. More than anything, it was a core memory for everyone sitting in those seats—a reminder of what it looks like when two people are exactly where they are meant to be.

A blur of Joy: Spirits, Smiles & Soul

First dance during sunset

When the sun finally traded its heat for the cool of the evening, the energy at the Dresser Mansion shifted from the quiet reverence of the ceremony to a full-blown, soulful celebration.
The reception was, in every sense of the word, cool. It was effortless. It wasn't about perfectly timed traditions; it was about the people. I watched as the dance floor became a sea of the bride’s best friends, lost in the music, while the groomsmen leaned into the shadows of the mansion walls, drinks in hand, sharing those deep, belly-aching laughs that only come from years of brotherhood.
As the night went on, the drinks came and went, but the smiles never faded. There was this beautiful, blurred lines between families—everyone just came together as one. It felt less like a formal event and more like the best party you've ever been invited to.
Looking through the lens, from the quiet side-conversations to the high-energy bursts on the floor, the whole night was a blur of pure, unscripted fun. It was the perfect end to a day that was already overflowing with heart.

Leaving the Dresser Mansion that night, I didn’t want the music to stop. Driving away, my heart felt completely full.
This wasn’t just a wedding; it was a reminder. It was a day that recharged my battery and brought me back to the core of why I do this. To witness a family come together like this, and to see a couple so deeply lost in their own joy, is a gift. Aubrey & Jeremiah: thank you for letting me into your world. It was a day that reminded me exactly why I love my job so much.
Planning a day that’s heavy on soul and light on rules? I’d love to be the one to capture those deep shadows and honest moments for you.
