Tulsa Club Hotel Wedding: a Guide to Art Deco Glamour & Moody Film Style

The Tulsa Club hotel is a wedding venue for the couples who appreciate and love beauty as well as history.

Its this sensibility that makes millions of people around the world go to Europe every year: to experience history they can touch.

We dont often realize we have that same soul right here in Tulsa. Built in the 1920s by architectural icon Bruce Goff, it’s Art Deco geometry offers a level of rare, tactile history that is reserved for old-world heritage sites. It amazes me that couples can be part of this history, and in a day as beautiful as their wedding day.

The aesthetic was undeniably chic—a sea of classic white florals that popped against the building’s moody, gilded interiors. There is something so incredibly posh about a monochrome palette in a space this grand. As a storyteller, I was drawn to the contrast: the softness of the petals against the rigid Art Deco lines and the way the couple’s effortless style felt both entirely modern and perfectly nostalgic. It was not only the epitome of a grand city affair but it was also a family affair: Addie & James have two beautiful children who were as big a part as the day as they themselves were. I have a soft spot in my heart for couples with children. It is just so sweet to watch.

For couples looking for that "big city" grandeur without the coastal prices, Tulsa is becoming a hidden gem for relaxed luxury. The Tulsa Club Hotel offers a level of posh, historic sophistication that rivals any venue in New York or Chicago. It’s the perfect landing spot for a destination wedding that feels curated, artistic, and deeply rooted in history.

It is also worth mentioning that photographing at the Tulsa Club Hotel requires an appreciation for the moody. Instead of fighting the deep corners and the golden glow of the fixtures, I leaned into them. This type of lighting conditions are were I am my most creative and where I create some of my best work. For Addie and James’s day, I focused on high-contrast storytelling—using the natural drama of the architecture to frame their family’s most intimate moments. It’s about finding the beauty in the shadows, and creating images that feel like stills from a classic noir film rather than just a standard wedding gallery.

A wedding weekend: BEYOND THE “I DO”

Part of why the Tulsa Club Hotel feels so curated is the experience it offers couples and wedding guests the entire weekend. From a nightcap to a delectable breakfast at the Commerce Bar (which feels like a true 1920s speakeasy) it’s a venue that invites you to slow down. For Addie and James, having their guest accommodations right on-site allowed the day to remain effortless—moving from the suites to the Ballroom with ease, being able to touch up or take breaks, for the older guests to be able to retire for the night and be comfortable is such a luxury.

When you choose a place like the Tulsa Club, your wedding becomes part of a century-long legacy of Tulsa’s historic social scene. You aren't just booking a ballroom; you are stepping into a space that has held the city’s most important stories since 1927. For Addie, James and their children, these photos aren't just memories—they are a modern chapter in a very old, very beautiful book.
